DokuMate contains a number of Microsoft Word templates designed for the purpose of communicating important content in a structured way. Examples include contracts, specifications, tenders/proposals, and regulatory documents.
The templates provide all styles required for drafting complex contracts and other types of structured documents. Using only these styles and refraining from manual formatting, you will be able to create a standard set of documents which can later be adapted to very different corporate designs or house styles. Apart from leading to a more consistent layout and formatting, this is a key enabler for later reuse. This will also help save time and money for all parties involved in the process of creating and reviewing documents.
The template design is based on best practices in typography, e.g., as promoted by Matthew Butterick. The default numbering scheme for use in contracting applications is based on Kenneth Adam‘s Manual of Style for Contract Drafting (MSCD).
The templates are meant to be adapted to your specific corporate design or house style (e.g., layout, fonts, colors). While you should stick to the style set, you can reconfigure the styles and numbering schemes to suit your needs.
